I picked up the IPad Mini and Samsung Galaxy 7" tablet from Walmart today. I told the clerk I would "play around" with both and return the one I decided against keeping. The Ipad Mini was $219 and the Samsung was $179. Each came with charger and adapter. I'm inclined to keep the Samsung as I like the Android system and the Play Store. It also has a more comfortable "hand feel."

I got a $50.00 promotional Walmart cash card with the Ipad Mini that I will lose if I return it.

The clerk spent some time with me and compared and contrasted both tablets without giving me the sense that I was being rushed. All in all, a positive experience!!

You bought two tablets with full intentions to return one? Then the store has a "used" tablet that they can't sell for new. I think this is totally wrong.

Just mind boggling. I think this is one reason that many stores charge a restocking fee for electronics returns. To try and cut down on frivolous "purchases".

I can not believe the store clerk would allow her to return the one she did not want back to Walmart's because she wants to try both out to see which one she wants to keep. Just when I thought I heard everything. I think you are right about the restocking fee. The nerve of some people!{#emotions_dlg.mad}

I shopped around for a long time and expected Apple to have the highest price, but I was wrong. I ordered an IPad Mini 2 with Retina Display and 32g of storage for $350.00 from Apple, with free shipping. I love it.
