I would recommend keeping the GPS loaded, never know when a family member may need to locate you.

I actually had recently turned it off.  I'm currently away from home (casino hotel) & fam knows exactly where I am.  One fam member is w/me.

DH took MIL to Sams this week to trade in her Flip phone for a new Flip phone.  The guy told her he had no idea how they worked and chances are she won't be able to get a new one in a year if she actually needed to.

I’ve seen several flip phones, hanging on racks in stores 

and even on Amazon.

I think they may be making a mini comeback!

I would only use a basic flip for calls, never texting...but I do like the protection the screen has by closing it up....SNAP!
