I can no longer paste documents

My Kindle Fire no longer PASTES copied info into my email Drafts which I use to collect recipes. The only thing that I can now copy and paste are links and even that is not all the time. It is as if the copied material is pasting in a white font because 'paste' does appear when stylus makes contact with the page but there is nothing to be seen. Anyone know why this is happening and if this can be fixed?  Thanks!

When in doubt, shut down and restart the device. That will often solve quirky problems.
