I order a new iMac earlier this week. It will ship in 3-4 weeks. I hope it's closer to 3 weeks than 4. I'm one of the few that still prefers a desktop computer. If I'm going to sit at a desk or computer cabinet, I want the power and big screen you get with a desktop computer. While I wait for the delivery, I get to make sure everything is saved. I do regular backups but there is always something that's missed. I got the SCOtutor for Mac at the app store and will watch it before the computer arrives.

I do have a question. While I don't use Microsoft Office as much now that I'm retired, I have saved documents and spreadsheets I need to access. I also receive documents written in Word. Should I get Office for Macs or will Pages and Numbers be enough. I will save my scanned documents as PDF files. Do I need to instalkl a program to read PDF files?
