trying to set up printer to Apple I pad. It's not working. I think the problem is my computer has a different Internet connection then I pad. How can I change the printer.

If you have windows 8 on your ipad this printer will not work.

Is your printer compatible with the iPad? Not all printers are.

How come your iPad uses a different internet connection? Don't all your devices go to the same wireless router?

Not sure how that happened . Printer says xfinity and iPad says home. Gonna have my son in law look at it. I thought maybe I could figure it out on my own.

Yes they all have to be on the same network. Apparantly you or someone nearby has the Xfinity hotspot enabled on their Comcast Router. If might even be you. You just have to connect the print to your "home" network.
You should disable the hotspot if it is comming from your modem. I'll find the link for it, stay tuned.

She may have the wrong SSID name and or password in the printer. This SSID name is not her wireless router name. A video from HP on wireless setup.

HP has more support videos at YouTube than any company.

Before I buy a new printer etc. I usually check setup videos on YouTube.
