How to watch TV and work on spreadsheet at same time

I purchased from QVC the HP TouchSmart 300 approximately 2 1/2 to 3 yrs ago. I originally could watch TV in the upper right hand corner while working on a document. I cannot remember how I did that. Can you go thru the steps for me?
