How to fix LG Fiesta Tracfone for Call and Message Notifications

I found this online. The camera flash will flash a notification. Here is what it said.

How to make your phone's camera LED flash when receiving calls, messages, or notifications
We doubt there's a phone user who has never missed a call or text message in their life. Sometimes you just can't pick up the phone – when driving, when showering, or when your hands are occupied, to give a few examples. Then there are those times when you simply don't notice your ringing phone – it beeps, blinks, and vibrates vigorously, yet still can't draw your attention. It is possible to make the LED light on your Android phone's camera blink when there's an incoming call, which should minimize the chance of you missing it. Read on to learn how.

Step 1: Check your phone's settings

To enable the feature, you should first check if it isn't already built into your Android phone's software. On recent LG phones it may be found under Settings > Accessibility > Hearing > Flash Alerts. Regardless of your phone's make and model, the accessibility settings menu is where you should look first. If the option is not available there, you can make its camera LED flash when calls are incoming using an app made for the purpose.

I checked and it available to do on the LG Fiesta.

@MKR14 Great find!!

Just set it up on my LG Premier LTE!  It flashes 1-2 times at the beginning of thecall coming in.

My daughter has an iPhone and it works on hers also. Almost same to get to as our Android one.

Thanks for the feedback. Smiley Happy

Re: How to fix LG Fiesta Tracfone for Call and Message Notifications

Congratulations @MKR14. Hope that works out well for you. I assume you've coupled that visual notification with an audible one.

I dislike that method, personally, since you have to remember to put your phone glass side down all the time, and the flash draws more heavily from the battery than the NoLED app (which I use for this purpose).

The NoLED app lets me personalize notifications, showing me (if I choose) the Contacts photo of whoever is calling, email, texting.

@x Hedge  I can't remember if you're the poster who was originally talking about this app, but I downloaded it and I love it!  I have it set up to display a person's picture for calls and texts and it is so handy.

I do have an issue of the program switching itself off every so often and I haven't been able to figure out why yet.  I thought maybe after a restart I would have to go back in and turn it on, but that's not it.  I haven't been able to identify a pattern yet, so every so often I'll open the app to make sure the box is still checked as working.

Hi @Stargazer77.  Yes, I'm a regular cheerleader for the NoLED app. I found NoLED for my own phones, and have recommended it many times

In the settings under Miscellaneous, check 'Auto Start'. Also, there should be a tiny blue dot ar the top of your screen showing it is on.

Once in a while I notice 'NoLED re-starting'.

I always supposed it was due to a momentary blip in my cell signal, or Wi-Fi.

@x Hedge  Auto-start was already checked.  I don't see a blue dot anywhere.  Where is it exactly?  Do you mean the check box the says switch NoLED on in the settings?

I thought it may have been after I cleared/closed all my background programs, but that wasn't it either.  Puzzling, it is!  Smiley Wink

[ Edited ]

Thanks for posting this @MKR14! My phone's an HTC that's several years old. It doesn't have an LED reminder, but I was able to set one for sound/vibrate. It'll remind me every five minutes. Finally no more missing texts until hours after receiving them!

@Stargazer77, in Miscellaneous, check the box that says Display NoLED icon.

That should put a tiny blue dot at the top of your screen. It's to the top-left side on both of my current phones. That way you can tell the app is on at a glance.

Also,

At the bottom of Miscellaneous, check the box that enables NoLED is ON/OFF notification.

@x Hedge  Ok, I did it and will give it a try.  I don't see anything yet.  We'll see what happens.  Thanks for the info!
