How to delete apps not used on Amazon fire tablet 10?

I have researched this and under my apps some can only be forced stopped. Also having issues with my Yahoo email account and have deleted and reinstalled that app but still messages like: can't connect to account or server. Finally I do not like the emoji options: any suggestions? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: How to delete apps not used on Amazon fire tablet 10?

I'm sorry I can't help you with the Amazon apps, but I have had the same issue on my iPad and iPhone with yahoo for months and months.  I have tried every possible solution I have found online and it's still happening.  It seems to be a known problem on mobile devices.  It doesn't happen on my laptop.

The only work around I have figured out which hasn't completely solved it was to set my email previews to 5 lines instead of 2 lines.   This is what it looks like on my iPad.  I'm not sure if that helps, but at least you know it's not just you.  Good luck! IMG_1624.jpeg

Two more things from an iPad perspective.  To delete apps, I press them on the Home Screen until they start moving and then I can delete them.  Also, there should be a keyboard setting where you can choose what you want to show on your keyboard, as in no emojis.   Again, I'm sorry I only know apple products and windows PCs.

@Tori3569

I'm glad to know it's not just on my end about the Yahoo email app problems on iPad and iPhone.  I have particularly slow and fussy internet service and have been having troubles with my email lately and I just assumed it was that.  It comes through eventually, but it's a pain.  And I prefer to use the Apple Mail app rather than going through the email websites.

I often think that the updates mess things up more than they improve them.  I wish they'd leave things alone--I don't need 9,647 new emojis! 😆

@geezerette

if it makes you feel any better, we just upgraded our WiFi so it's definitely not impacting the yahoo email.  I also use the mail exchange and not the yahoo app because even though I pay monthly, it still comes up with ads.  So, we're in this together, lol.  If I ever get it figured out, I'll make sure I post it.

@Tori3569 : Thank you. Previously had an iPad and difficult for me to justify another purchase being retired and just something to play with. I have so many home improvement  projects to do.

 On the fire tablet you can remove the apps from the home screen but not delete them that's what I understand but probably wrong.

I have an Amazon Fire tablet...call Amazon and get transferred to the tablet tech dept. They are very helpful!

For me saying the connection to the account or server needs attention just means they want you to log in again with your user name and password.

Enough to make you crazy right?  Why not take you to the login screen?

Good luck.

I have an Android tablet, but I know there are some apps that come with it that you cannot delete without "breaking into" it which could possibly brick the device with means make it inoperable.  So, I never do stuff like that unless I'm willing to buy a new device.  I so wish I could get rid of Bixby on my phone.
