8+, mostly for camera and music. I COULD go for the new features on the new phone, but my priority is getting Mr. Bullhead to wear the 5th gen. Watch, which has all kinds of really useful health monitoring tools AND a way of attracting his attention when he’s on the lawn mower and I’m screaming uselessly from the porch.

I have an iPhone 7 and have no plans to change, especially not with the expected operating system upgrade next month, I believe.

@Scooby Doo, I think I win with the oldest iPhone (so far, at least)!🙃 My iPhone 5 (purchased in 2012) iOS 10.3.4 has been a real workhorse, no problems and still working fine. My only concern is the incompatibility with iOS 11.x and later and less in the way of security updates, and I'm keenly aware of that. It certainly has paid for itself in 7 years, and then some. I'm watching the offers for these new models with interest!

@dooBdoo , I bought the XR within the last month. I had not planned to buy a new phone until December or later but the battery started acting up. I told the sales guy I was hoping for a sale, he told me iphones don’t EVER go on sale.
Not sure that that is technically true as I think they do a price drop when new ones come don’t they?
I am in Canada! LM

@Lilysmom, There was a time when it was hard (or impossible?) to find price drops on Apple devices, including iPhones, but now it does happen -- and also special prices are offered with carrier contracts, trade-ins, that sort of thing. Now that Apple products can be purchased from so many sources it helps to check online articles on reliable websites, with price and feature comparison advice or alerts to new offers. Since my Apple devices last so long, I don't watch prices that much until I know I'm approaching time to upgrade... but usually my purchases have been accompanied by helpful discounts, such as waiting for our state's sales-tax-free weekend (good savings there), or when Discover Card offered 5% cashback with Apple.com (no more, though), or my AT&T discount with a 1- or 2- year contract.

I have an 8 Plus. Only bought it because my old Samsung feature phone stopped working. I wont be replacing it anytime soon.

iPhone 7plus. Mine gets little to moderate to heavy use depending on the day and what is going on. Works fine for me.
