How can I install a printer when their are no drivers for win 7 0r 8

I have a kodak 1400 printer Kodak says no drivers for win 7 0r 8 When I install on win7 it installs as a device. I have been told I can partisan my hard drive and install win xp any ideas ??? what about cost ?? Thanks F stop
