I think that's a wise decision. Some of those who used the music sharing sites got hit with bills in the thousands of dollars. Pretty much everything done online leaves a digital trail of some sort that could lead back to you. If you use a VPN to hide your trail you could be okay, but even that's not a hundred percent safe. If the VPN you're using decided to cooperate with the feds, well, it could get messy. Millions of people are using jailbroken FireSticks, but there is a risk that comes with doing so. At some point the feds will crack down on it and a lot of people will wish they hadn't done it.

@gardenman. @Jordan2. @Mz iMac. I was thinking of the hijacking of music when I posed the question. I don't see much difference. I've got all I can watch on Netflux and Amazon.
