I am unhappy with my HP Photo envy printer...the color out put is not good.

Is anyone using a inkjet printer that they really like how it prints in color?

I like to print a variety of different projects mostly using color ink, any suggestions would be helpful.

thanks

I have an Epson printer, and I will never buy another one. You can't print at all if any of your color ink is low or out. Even if you have a full black ink. I never had a problem with HP printers. They print in only black. So don't buy Epson.

We have always had HP. Right now we have a Deskjet 6520 and I'm really happy with it. I sometimes use it for work, but I also love to make my own cards. It does a great job printing those in color. It's older, but I'll keep it as long as I can!  Smiley Happy

Love my Canon TS8300.  I wanted a printer for photos and Canon is the best.  Had an Epson because everyone said it was great for photos and it was horrid.  Donated it and got the Canon.

I have an Envy, it came bundled with a computer.  However, my primary printer is an HP Pro 8710.  I have had it for quite a while and I know it has been upgraded several times, usually signified by a change in numbers ( 8720, etc.) .  It prints in color or in black or in a combination.  I get the XL cartridges.  I use mine occasionally to print photos.  I bought mine locally, at Staples, because I wanted the option to return it and quickly replace it if I had to.

@Kadilac   I have heard that Canon does a good job of color printing.  Do you feel your Canon color prints the colors accurately.

My HP seems to put a magenta cast on some of the text and images that I want to print.

Yes, I'm very picky on the colors for my photos which is why I was unhappy with the Epson.

Thanks, my job is in the printing business and I am picky about color as well.  My laser printer in the office does a great job but I like to run 'odd' paper thru the printer which I cannot do with the laser.  Currently I am looking for a paper that I can run thru the printer...once printed I want to transfer that image to fabric.

It would be perfect if I could find transfer paper that could be run thru both the ink jet and laser.  I have a couple of projects that I would like to make for gifts.

@Mom2Dogs

I have used probably all of the name brands over many years, including HP. After going through that many I have since decided that Canon is my choice.

Have had several for different reasons, mostly to upgrade, or even get a lower level, because I do not use FAX or wireless. I now have one that is only a Printer, and it reproduces as good a color photo as I think possible with any inkjet printer. I will stick with Canon for my printers.
