Holder for Aviant 7 inch tablet

I got this holder along with stylus, roller ball, earbuds. I am having a heck of a time putting the tablet inside the elastic corners. Just doesn't seem to fit. Any advice? From the picture on QVC it looked like it could stand up but it doesn't.
