A power bank is different from an UPS. When you use an UPS your devices remain plugged into the UPS so if the power goes out then the UPS automatically switches over to battery backup mode. With power banks you need to plug in your devices whenever you need power rather than have the power automatically supplied as with an UPS. Both UPS and power bank have rechargeable batteries in them but an UPS is always on standby with your devices plugged into it and ready to backup power to your devices. Power banks need to taken out of the closet so to speak and UPS are already in use.
