@dooBdoo  It would be helpful if we COULD start another thread.  It was difficult entering the correct information into the search.

I am looking for an app that will "swipe" or "brush" out imperfections.

I did find one that works on faces, but I have not tried it on other items yet.

Yes, I did download the two you mentioned and about 10 others... and this is where the app companies are making more money, as far as I can tell.

One is for removing wrinkles/another is for adding eye makeup/another is best at changing scenery.

As someone pointed out on one of the tech sites, they need to use so many processes in order to get the desired results. (removing shadows)

Thank you for your help... I wish I really knew how to ask this question... but very recently, as I mentioned, Apple re-released a new iPhoto program for MAC OS.Heart

Hi, again, @LTT1!  I really do hear your unhappiness with this.  When the switch from iPhotos happened, lots of folks were none too pleased.  My understanding is that Apple has been listening and they'll be adding some of the iPhotos features into future versions of Photo...  but I have no idea which ones or when this might happen.  You mention other tech sites...  if you haven't already done so, I'd suggest that you post on the Apple Community and also the eBay forums to get more assistance from those who are expert in this area (I'm definitely not).  Also, yes, do start another thread here and see if any of the Q posters have more to offer.

I'm so sorry this is happening to you, and I do hope you can find a good solution.

Downloaded the "fix" and my iPad is worse than ever.  I'm ready to pitch the stupid thing and get a Kindle.  All I do is reboot it and restore my Bluetooth speaker.  I spend 35 min trying to get a live feed of the 30 min news.  Never saw more than 15 seconds before it dropped the app.

@Kachina624, Did you try the full backup/erase/restore process suggested in a previous thread?  It will clear up a myriad of problems.

@dooBdoo.  I went in and investigated backing everything into the cloud.  How do I tell if it's all there?  I've got so much invested in apps and music.  As soon as I'm sure its all in the cloud, I'd take your suggestion.

It is so good of you to try to help us dooBdoo.  Thank you.

Hi, again, @Kachina624!  Thanks for the kind words.  I try to help, but I surely don't have all the answers.Believe me, I understand the frustration with some of our gadgets.

I prefer a full backup using iTunes on my Mac, and (full disclosure) I resisted using iCloud until Apple required it for syncing Contacts.  So I've been learning as I go, and at the moment I only backup a couple of things on the cloud.

You can go to https://www.icloud.com/ to look at and manage your info, and there's also an app (iCloud Drive) on the iPad and iPhone now.  However, I'd suggest taking a look at this detailed info first:

"iCloud Support:  Get Started"

https://www.apple.com/support/icloud/getstarted/

and

"Manage your iCloud storage"

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204247

Also, you can call Apple or go to an Apple Store if there's one nearby.  I understand how you feel...  not many of us are comfy thinking we might lose something on our computers or mobile devices.

hth!

Re: Here we go again.....iOS9.0.2 ready for download!!

@dooBdoo  thank you for your help and for letting me reach out once again.

I have downloaded two newer apps, and the technology is nearly back... so this is encouraging and I will be happy using these two until the Apple photo app incorporated the "old" features.. : )Heart

Re: Here we go again.....iOS9.0.2 ready for download!!

I figured this download would be a snap, but not so. I've never had the slightest glitch downloading major OS upgrades or patches on my iPad 3 or current Air 2, or iPhone 5S. But last night's d/l of .0.2 was glitchy to say the least.

It downloaded, but would not install on two tries - just kept saying "installing" but with no progress bar for 15-20 minutes. Just went nowhere. I gave up for the night.

Then later it froze in the middle of a web browse and I rebooted. After the reboot, in the middle of something else, it decided to install(!) but took forEVER for what I assumed should have been a quick tiny d/l. Seems okay now.
