~ Help with my Bose? ~

I got my Bose about 1-1/2 years ago and it's been trouble all along. Just quirky things that my son, an E.E. was able to take care of. This morning, I went to put a CD in it while I read and it says "cannot read disc." It is doing that no matter what disc I'm trying to play. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with it? I checked the plugs and they're all fine.

I am not at all happy with this expensive machine, and won't purchase another one ever again.

Thanks so much for any help or ideas you can provide.
