Help! Crazy dancing cursor on my laptop!!

This is driving me bonkers! The cursor has a mind of its own! Keeps making my typing jump all over the page.....so my typing ends up in the middle of a previous sentence! Someone suggested I reboot....which helps for a little while. I googled the problem.....but didn't really get any good ideas......any that I could figure out what to do anyway. Seems it's a windows problem maybe?

Any advice would be appreciated! This retyping is driving me nuts. TIA
