Help Connecting to Wireless Please

Hi Guys

Here's the problem. I bought a new laptop with Windows 8, hooked up the wireless and everything was good. But after use and I shut down when I turn back on, i'm unable to connect to wireless unless I restart my router then it will connect . This happens every time. We have 3 other laptops in the house and they have no problems at all connecting, so it can't be the router, it has to be the new computer. Also, once it says the wireless was limited…I don't know what that means. As I said this new one has Windows 8 and its very hard for me to navigate and find anything that I was use to seeing. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it. Its a pain to have to keep restarting the router if I need to use this particular computer. Is there something that should have been turned on for the wireless connection or checked or something? Like I said Windows 8 is new to me and I can't find anything!!!

I can't help with your wireless problem, but I have a suggestion re: Win 8.

I have an XP computer that's not upgrade-able, so I bought a new Win 8 laptop last week. I also got a few books about Win 8 that I read last week, prior to setting up the new computer. I set it up yesterday, and it was a breeze. I'm not having any trouble picking up on how Win 8 does things, and I like it a lot.

So get a book or two about Win 8, it would shorten your learning curve. Of the three books I have, my favorites are Windows 8 Step by Step (I like this one better than the "For Dummies" book) and Windows 8 Five Minutes at a Time. This one isn't an overview but has lots of tips and tricks, like how to put tiles on the Start screen for frequent tasks like shutdown.

Good luck with your wireless problem. I hope you like your new computer and quickly get used to Win 8.
