Has anyone used transfer wizard when switching to a new phone?

I'm activating a new phone soon (same phone number, same Tracfone service), and was wondering how I can transfer pictures and phone numbers over to the new phone.  I've heard about "transfer wizard," but have no idea how that works.   TIA for any help!

You need to download Transfer Wizard to both phones from Google Play Store. Follow the easy instructions. This works best where you have a strong phone signal. If your signal is weak, it may not work at all.

It transferred my contacts bit not my pictures.  Works great.

I backup the contents of my phone  to my Google Drive and Gmail account. I have a second copy of my contacts stored at my primary email address. You can store photos on Amazon with Prime.
