Has anyone here installed iPadOS 15.1 on your iPad?

How did the installation process go? And how do,you like this new version?

I have a 7th generation iPad running version 14.8.1 and it has been just fine. I've read about problems with the new version, with installation and with how it functions, things like major battery drain, major slowness, apps not closing without restarting (that was in a YouTube video). My iPad not being so new gives me pause, but there are security fixes in this new version so I'm on the fence.

thank you for your reports!

I installed it on my devices with no problem. One of my iPads was the generation 6 (I've since traded it in for a iPad Air 4) and had no problem. I also have a generation 8, again no problem. Hope that helps.

I installed iPadOS 15 and had no problems at all. It went smoothly.

I had no problem with the installation.   However, I HATE the new keyboard.

I just installed 15.1 with no problems either.  I didn't try the 15 since I had heard of the potential problems and wanted to wait.  I have mine set to download but not automatically install so that I can do it at my convenience.  I like waiting at least a couple of weeks after any update is released.

At first I thought I hated the keyboard too.  I remember a few updates ago they tried this type of keyboard and people complained, so they changed it back.  I looked for a way to change it back to the way it was before the update and couldn't find any.

But I have to say that after using it for a while, I think I actually like it better now.  It's always been a pain to have to switch keyboards to get numbers and symbols.  Once I got the knack of swiping down, it's quicker and easier with the new keyboard.

No I haven't yet--heard there were some problems with it so think I will wait--I did download the newest 14.8 or whatever it is with no issues

I can't figure out how to remove the "tabs" now that I did the update on the IPad.  The small square with boxes in upper right corner.

I used to just click icon before and get out of webpage.

Even google search hasn't help me find the answer😉

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I'm not sure I understand your question. But...if your tabs are open like in this screenshot, and you want to close one, just click on the X that I circled...
