Has Anyone Tried / Bought This Limitless Mini Power Bank?

[ Edited ]

Hi Everyone,

I bought a Limitless Mini Power Bank that came as a set of 2, it has 2 attached cables for charging up your phone, device, etc, and neither of which are compatible with any of my Androids, nor my Fire Tablet, totally confounded and wondering if it only possibly works with Apple products??

You don't know until after purchasing how you more than likely will have this problem, and the booklet that came with it suggestd you make an additional purchase of a Type C to Type C USB Cable, in order to then charge your phone etc - Wow, if I had known that situation, I know I never would have taken a chance and bought it - more importantly, this was to be a gift for the hubby and I know he won't be impressed lol, with needing to carry around a big cable to make it compatible while out at a restaurant, etc! It's supposed to be a convenient, quick charge and go item- not so much, ugh!

Did anyone else get this and what have you been able to charge with it?

Thanks so much for any help!!

I don't have this, but I took a look at the quick start guide and not sure why you think you'd need a cable to bring with you.  They include the usb c to usb cable that you need to charge the unit.  You just take the unit with you on the go. Almost all devices come with a charger plug which is what you're plugging into.

There are 2 different connectors to your phone, 1 is a micro and the other is a usb c .  If your phone doesn't use one of those, it won't work.  I on.y have apple products, so I'm not familiar with what might be on an android.

On the video they say there is a built in micro cable that works with Google & Android.

There is a Lighting cable for Apple.

There's also an external usb C charging port.

There's an owners manual on the product page that may help.

I don't know what type of tip you need, but you could explore whether an small adapter tip will fit over one of those.

@Tori3569 sadly I did try the two different connectors on two of my androids, and they wouldn't go in, not compatible.

I may have not said that (?) but believe me, I tried lol. We most definitely need the cable that's not provided and is an extra expense.

I was just wondering if anyone else had this and what their experience was with it. Thanks so much!!

@Nightowlz  I tried, nothing that came with it works for our androids. I did look at the directions that came with the power bank, ugh.

Since I've purchased other Limitless power banks before and never ran into this problem, was totally surprised by this!

I find it hard to believe any product would not work with an entire group of devices.  The last I knew, there are more Android users than Apple.  These connectors only attach one direction so, I'd advise you try again.

I suspect the problem is the age of your devices. Nearly everything for the last two to three years uses USB C for charging and the power banks have a USB C output. Older devices often used a USB Micro B connector which this power bank doesn't include. There are adapters and cords you can use to still use the power bank, just not the ones that are built into the power bank.

JMH0, these cute mini Power banks will give a phone a emergency charge or make a very nice flashlight.

You need a USB-C cable to charge the power bank. The power bank can be used without carrying a charger around.
