I am furious! I placed an order for this item on 11/26/17 with an EDD of 12/07/17 which would be this Thursday. I received a shipping notification from QVC on 12/01/17 thinking that my order had been shipped because that is what it stated. Well today I get another email from UPS telling me that I have a package coming to me from CHINA! From Hewlett Packard and it has to be signed for. The Delivery date for this package is not for another week from now on 12/12/17!  First of all there was no mention at all that this item would be coming from CHINA from either the product page or during the presentation. Had I known that I would have never purchased this item!

Has anyone else experienced this with ordering this TSV?

QVC should make it known to their customers looking to purchase items from them if the items would be shipping from outside the USA or not. We deserve to know!

Yes QVC should be upfront with their customers & let them know if a product is shipping from China.

I would never order something coming from slow boat from China either.

There are always better deals out there on computers.

QVC generally sells computers with older Specs for more money.

@AngelWhispers  I understand how you feel, but the fact is that most all computers are from China.   My Hubby buily his computer and even though he built it all parts came from China.  I know it stinks, but that is a fact of life right now.  Hopefully we can get this country back on track and start maiking things here.   I noticed the Liminara Lanterns I purchased are from China.  Shame that we cannot do more here in America.

NIghtOwl- I totally agree!

BalletBabe- I know that the majority of things that are purchased in the USA today are made in China. Sad but true. My beef is with QVC not letting me or their customers know that a product is shipping from CHINA and NOT from within the USA. I never purchase anything directly from CHINA and do not care to purchase anything from China and have it shipped directly to my door from there! Ordering from a home shopping network or anywhere else should result in the item that is ordered being shipped from their warehouses where the customer information including names and addresses are kept within that company and not shared with companies overseas like in CHINA! Like I said I never make it a point to purchase anything from CHINA directly and do not want anyone over there having access to my personal information like my name and address!

That first shipping notification that I received from QVC was for some kind of GWP-Jiffy Mailer (additional offers such as tech support and so forth) and not the actual Laptop so that is another reason that I am annoyed! There I was thinking that my laptop had been shipped to me from NC and it was on its way but it was not even shipped until today. From China no less! I have tried to cancel the order. I will never order again from QVC unless I can verify that the item is in stock and coming from within the USA!

Re: HP TSV Laptop?

QVC must have had some in stock for the ones preordered.

I had preordered mine and I got a confirmation of the date.

It is wrong not to address this upfront and to say where it ships from. The last two computers I bought directly from Toshiba online came directly from China. I called and asked why and they said all the laptop was assembled here and the remaining parts needed to go to China to be installed. Then it would ship to me. Toshiba never told me about it either. The two laptops were excellent but I needed an updated computer now.

Just set the computer up and you will see what a good value you received. You will be pleased and won't regret this purchase. I got the 17" and I have no complaints about this laptop. The screen is very clear. The rose gold is very elegant and the keyboard types very well.  Being a backlit keyboard is nice also.

I built a few on the HP site and the HP TSV Laptop beat what I wanted and came in Rose Gold which was not offered on the HP site. The 17" and touchscreen drive the price up on the HP site.

When ordering anything that is not stated when it will ship, contact QVC and ask. I did email them and ask as I wanted to know if it would be a delay and coming from China. They were honest with when I would receive my laptop. Actually mine was three days earlier than I expected. The software package was just being sent to me as it was not in with the computer.

Please post back and keep us posted.

MKR NY- Did yours ship direct to you from CHINA or from within the USA? I had also ordered the Rose Gold but in the 15".

BTW, I have been a QVC customer since before 2007 and not once with anything that I have EVER ordered from them had an order ship direct to me from CHINA! Never..This will change the way that I shop with QVC in the future. I dont want my personal information that I have on file with QVC being shared with any company or persons overseas!

@BalletBabe.  The point is not that computers are made in China, we know all electronics come from Asia, but that QVC's HP computers are not even manufactured then shipped until after the order is placed.

Most businesses would have them sitting in a warehouse in the US ready to go when they're aired.

@Kachina   Yes that is true, but all parts are made in china no matter where they are built.   That is what I have been told by many people that work in tech.

This makes me wonder if they ran out of them?  In order to get it sooner it comes from China?   Sounds strange to me.

This reminds me of something I ordered from Amazon at Christmas last year.  I had a PO Box at that time and so I got notice that it was at the post office.  I went over there and stood in  line forever, and when I got up to desk the guy said I cannot find it.  So he looked in system and said to me your package was delivered in New York, I was like New York????  I never lived in New York.  I am in Florida.  Figure that one out.

@AngelWhispers  I understand how you feel.  Our information is being spread around to everyone.  It is sad that we have to even deal with China.  The thing is, that they probably never see the billing information.  You could call CS and ask.  I hope you like it after all of this!
