Hmmm!  Let me see, I get specs and reviews on a car, verses getting specs+ reviews on a computer. For the majority of people, their vehicle is the 2nd highest price purchase they make in their life. A computer?

I can't seem to square your analogy of a car verses a computer. I have bought many new vehicles in my lifetime. Just like I mentioned in my 1st post in this thread, I have ordered all of my 7 brand new cars. Built to my specs/interior and exterior color/engine size/amenities/wheels and tire size, and on and on. Same with the 'puter.

While computers do have problems, many of them are operator issues as opposed to the computer hardware or software. An inconvenience and maybe frustration.

My cars on the other hand? If they fail me, it could be at a bad time/in the wrong place. A bit more than inconvenience, could be more like a very long walk, or a very long wait for a tow truck.

Now buying a pair of pants "because I like them", is one thing, but? Buying an electronic device or a motor vehicle "just because I like it"? Naw, we are very different people for sure. I look "at a penny I earned, as a penny I spent, and a penny spent as a penny I earned".

Each penny to me is valuable, my mother told me that over 70+ years ago.

"To each be their own"

I am baffled by what the term LifeTime Support mens when hp is being sold.  I purchased a HP Computer from QVC and durng the presentation Life Time Support  was mentioned over and over.  This HP Pavillion is the worst computer I have ever owned.  It is slow and constantly freezing up.  I called HP and they refuse to talk to me.  When I first got the computher HP's tech support person gave me incorrect info on how to set up the wireless internet connection.  After two hours of struggling I called my service provider Verizon and they gave me the correctt instruction.  I am sorry I made this purchase and will most likely go back to Dell.  Never again HP!

You get the same manufacturer's warranty no matter where you buy a computer.  That includes buying from QVC.  What is included under the manufacurter's warranty is usually hardware and factory installed software.  If you are having problems as described in your post and it's covered by the warranty, they should have helped you.

The lifetime tech support is another company as other posters pointed out.  They are the ones to call when having issues not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.  If you like their assistance better, by all mean call them instead of HP.

For the last 10 years I owned a Windows based computer, I owned HP computers.  I never had any problems or needed tech support.   HP are not terrible computers and I've recommended the brand many times.  Not knowing how to set up your wireless connection is not a problem with HP, it's you.

@VaLady92 Lifetime Support is from a separate company that handles that, not HP.  HP will not be able to help with a computer you purchased from QVC.  Did you purchase the recent TSV with AMD12?  That's not an HP Pavilion, so I'm curious which computer it was since QVC sells many different versions.  For Lifetime Support, you must contact the Lifetime Support company via the number given to you in your package.  They also list what issues they do not cover, and wireless connections is one of those issues (yes, wireless must be addressed with your service provider, like Verizon).  It's all in the information you get with your purchase.

I had an issue with my recent HP TSV purchase, called Lifetime Support, and they were great, problem solved.

I hope you find a resolution to your problem.

yes they can for your pc will be unbder warentee. I bought a bad HP  from QVC  and I called HP direct and they sent me a new hard drive free of charge
