I'm desperate. My name email account is with Comcast/XFINITY. My computer is protected by Kaspersky. For the last 2 hours when I try to open my email I get an access blocked from Kaspersky. There is a link you can click on if you feel the site was erroneously blocked. When I click on it I get a message that it was blocked because it is a phishing site. It isn't. I've used it for 13 years and was able to access it late this afternoon.
I sent a request to Kaspersky but they can take hours to get back to you.
Any suggestions????? PLEASE

Can you access it via an app?

@abbeythe 8thI don't recognize the name of your protector, but I also have Cpmcast/Xfinity and would have called them an hour ago. Maybe they know something we don't.

@abbeythe 8th, I googled and found the problem described by others as well. Apparently it's the result of an update that was released today. Kaspersky is working on a fix. This page has posts from others who have the problem and the report of a temporary fix that was obtained from Kaspersky. Use at your own risk, but the info on that page might shed light.

Thanks for your response. I called them and they said my problem is with my security. (Anti-Virus)
I know I can turn my protection off, but why have protection if you have to turn it off to read your email.
Hopefully Kaspersky will eventually get back to me.

Thank you, thank you!
It does make you feel better when you know you did not create the problem and others are having the same problem
Again, many thanks to all of you.

Can you turn off that protection and choose another?

You can only use one anti-virus program on a computer at a time. If you turn the program off, you will not have protection.

An update
Overnight Kaspersky did repair the problem. They responded to my email with suggestions on how to access my email in the event this happens again. I was able to figure this out on my own.
Thank you all for your responses.
