HELP! Have a Question about Windows 7

I purchased a new Toshiba computer about two months ago. Our old laptop had Vista and our desktop has Windows XP, so this is my first experience with Windows 7. In both of the other computers, I could open multiple Google Chrome and Internet Explorer at the same time. On the new laptop, I can have only one window open at a time.{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Is there a process, a setting, or how do I get the computer to let me open multiple internet windows at the same time?
