HELP ... Creating a Mailing Label Database

I want to make Christmas card address labels and don't really know where to start and what program is best to use. I used to have the old old MS Works Database that I had all set up & used for a few years but obviously don't have that program anymore.

I do have MS Office Home & Student 2010 so I'm guessing I could use Excel. If so, is there a way to print the labels from there such as in a database? I'm not sure where to start so if anyone has found a good site online that would give me step by step instructions on what to do, that would be GREAT!

I've tried doing a search but all the info is overwhelming so just a starting point would be helpful. Thank you in advance!
