Guinness Record for Tracfone Activation?

Three minutes from the time I finished entering all info. All leftover minutes, texts and data transferred and new were added correctly. End-of-service date changed to 2024.

I'm still a believer.

That's wonderful!  My first mobile phones were TracFones.  I had Trac for years.  But whenever I bought a new phone, activation was always a time consuming nightmare.  Good to hear they've in that regard.  I never had any problems with the phones or the service.

@PickyPicky3

Thanks for that .....  I received mine a week ago and have been putting off activation because I thought it would be a hassle.  I'm determined to do it this weekend.

@PickyPicky3  That's about how long it took me too.  I just hit "renew what I had last year" for the $50. "year of use" special. I never need to buy data or minutes.

Re: Guinness Record for Tracfone Activation?

I bought the Moto G Stylus 5G phones for DH and myself when they were on sale for $99.96, free shipping.

We both have online accounts (have always been Tracfone customers) and set them up that way.  Fast, no issues at all, great phone.

I honestly can't understand the negative reviews that are being posted for this phone, other than "operator error".  Yes, it's a learning curve for some, but there isn't anything that this phone doesn't do, just as our previous ones did.  I gave it 5 stars; certainly wasn't sending it back!

I think some people just don't take the time to read the manual or online tutorials and miss out on a terrific deal.  Then they blame it on Tracfone.

Re: Guinness Record for Tracfone Activation?

Well, I mustered up all the courage I can (LOL) and started Activation.

The new phone is now active and my minutes etc is updated.  My coverage is good through to 5/29/2024.

Not everything transferred.  The photos & all my phone contacts are still on the old phone, so I am searching for a tutorial to figure out why, and what I need to do.

It's always something, isn't it?

Way to go @Tinkrbl44!

How to transfer "stuff":

1. Keep old and new phones on and both connected to the same wi-fi.

2. Download "Tracfone Transfer Wizard" from Google Play Store on both phones.

3. Follow the directions exactly. It goes fast.

@Tinkrbl44 - Yes, another vote for the Transfer Wizard.  I have a LOT of photos on my phone and it took a while (about a half-hour, which will depend on your own internet speed), but that was for everything:  photos, texts, contacts, etc.

It really is easy using that.  (And you can choose what you want to transfer, so it doesn't have to be everything.)

@Venezia   I got the Moto Pure G phone which I believe is the model before yours.  I've always had Samsung before and like this one so much better.  Easier to use and much more dependable.

@PickyPicky3   I've always used Transfer Wizard and followed the instructions carefully.  I've activated 4 or 5 phones at least and have never been able to get photos and contacts to transfer.  Everything else is fine.
