Got my first iPhone....I have a Question?

A few weeks ago I got my first iPhone. I'm slowly learning how to use it, but one thing that's making me nuts is that it runs out of power so fast! I'm talking hours. Today I unplugged it from the charger around noon, and by 9:00PM it was totally out of power. None!

I make sure to close the apps I'm not using at the end of each day, which is supposed to help. I also shut down my "location" setting, which I heard was draining power. I barely use the phone. Matter of fact, today I didn't make or receive one phone call, and I only looked on Facebook a few times. Otherwise it sat in my pocketbook all day.

Does anyone else have this short time span? I mean this was less than 9 hours from a fully charged phone.

I want to buy a Halo or another portable charger because this is ridiculous. I need help!
