Google Voice

I have had a free Google Voice number since 2009. I use it for incoming calls and texts.

 

You can use it for outgoing from your computer or a cellphone app. An extra step, so I don't do it.

 

Today I was informed unless I use it for outgoing, they will reclaim my number in 30 days. What a pain.

 

Anyone else dealing with this?

My husband says he gets those notices all the time.  He makes it a point to make a call and then all is good till the next couple of years.
