Re: Good ad blocker for Safari on Mac?

I don't think Ad-blockers are browser specific although you add them as an extension to the specific browser you are using.  Not even sure if they are OS specific either.  I'm on a Mac using Chrome and I use Ad Blocker Plus.  I also use Firefox, but that use is very limited so I haven't added an ad blocker for that browser.

I think my husband uses Duck Duck Go.  That is more than a simple ad blocker.  It's supposed to hide all your internet activity so you don't get targeted ads based on your browsing history.  I think it can also be used in conjunction with an ad blocker.

I've noticed more and more sites recognize that you are using an Ad Blocker and won't allow you to use their site without disableing it for their site. So, for me, the better question would be which ones are better at hiding that you're using one.  I think there's at least one that makes that claim, but I can't remember which one that is.
