Do I need to re-program my opener after I replace batteries in the remote?

I never had to.

Usually not, but you would be better off checking your owner's manual or looking online for your particular model.

@89135

Have had several openers since the late 1970's. Never have had to reprogram any of them when replacing a battery.

I've never had to with many different brands over the years.

I've never had to after replacing remote batteries. Sometimes after having work done on the mechanics you have to hit a reset button on the side of the unit.

Re: Garage Door Opener

@89135 , I have never had to.

I have another garage door opener question if @89135  will permit me to go OT.

The garage door opener will open the door but not close it.  I have rye-programmed with no success, lined up the lights at the bottom, etc.  Do I need to replace it?

@hckynutjohn , do you know?  Anyone else?

Any advice appreciated!  LM

No but if you buy a new remote, you will need to pair it with your opener.
