Re: Fraudulent Order of Electronics on my QCard!

OK, out of frustration I e-mailed to QVC telling them I didn't feel they were taking the situation seriously enough and that nobody I talked to seemed to value me as a customer. This is the reply I received. Why am I NOT impressed? (I removed my name and the order number).

 Hello XXXX,

Thank you for emailing QVC.

I'm sorry for the issue with your order #########. I show this order was
canceled and reported to our home office. Our office is checking into the
Qcard card. We are concerned and sorry you do not think they was taken as
important to QVC.

Thank you for the opportunity to assist you today!

That is disappointing to me as well. I will do the same with my local police tomorrow. Thank you for the information, Buck-I-Nana!

I don't have a Qcard, but I do run several different cards - and I check each one everyday!

Although nothing evil has shown up for me personally, just today there was an announcement that Home Depot has been hacked - could be bigger than the 40 million Target cards. Check, check, check!

Re: Fraudulent Order of Electronics on my QCard!

Well, I went to my local PD and filed a police report on my credit card fraud situation. Though QVC has not asked for it, and really hasn't given me the impression they care, I will be sending them the police report incident number.

This has really been an eye-opener for me regarding how little QVC cares about their customers. Poorly managed website is only the tip of the iceberg with this company, though it is key to why fraud has occurred and given the QVC response will continue to occur until somebody big gets involved and forces QVC to publicly respond to their lack of cyber security and the impact on their customers.

There's another report of a fraudulent order:

Thanks again, dooBdoo, for linking yet another report of fraud. What a shame that this is happening and QVC does not seem to be making any effort to get to the bottom of it.

Buck-I-nana, I filed a report with my local police department yesterday, so hopefully the Oviedo, FL police will take action.

I think that one is actually referencing mine as I did post in other locations as well. One lady on that thread did advise though that her credit card that she uses only on QVC has been compromised according to her bank.

The more I think about this the angrier I get. To get into any of our accounts they had to know e-mail addresses, and we know that other people's usernames (e-mail addresses) were being revealed randomly to others. With them not locking an account after numerous incorrect passwords, that was a recipe for accounts being compromised.

I still don't believe QVC will do anything about it, nor will they reveal it unless they are forced to by some media outlet forcing it. Unfortunately, are any of our media really willing to go up against QVC?

Re: Fraudulent Order of Electronics on my QCard!

In my case, it was a phone order, so I don't think they were able to get into my online account, as it would have been much easier to order that way. Let's hope that's the end for us.

This has never happened to me.
