Re: For those who have tablets...

Definitely iPad.  I had an Android/LG years ago - got an Ipad a few years ago - love it.

In fact I'm Apple all the way - iPhone, MacBook too.  There's just no comparison.  So much easier to use - they all sync, last longer.  Well worth the price.

I have had quite a few tablets over the years.  I prefer iPads.

My favorite was the mini, just because of the size of it.

I currently use an iPad Air. I have no complaints, but prefer the smaller size....personal preference.

You can check the Apple website to checkout the different models to see what would work for you.

You can also look for refurbished iPads on the Apple site. I have purchased several of those over the years too.  They arrive packaged like brand new and carry the same warranty.

@Carmie I agree with her!  Love Apple prooducts and the way they work together, and their more secure operating system.  I love my mini too, but if I had to have one it would be the Apple Air.  It does everything well.  The IPad is nice, but the Air has it all over for general and financial use.

Amazon Fire Tablet user here and appreciate the devices are under $50.

One is almost 10 years old and use for games and social media. Still runs fine and dandy.

The other tablet is about 3 years old (lighter/thinner model). Use newer one for local library Libby ebooks/audiobooks mainly.

I don't do any banking or online shopping on my tablets. My own personal preference.

Just don't update any of them!  Amazon just changed all the games!

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6.  Had a Samsung Galaxy Note before that (the one with a stylus).  No complaints.  DH has ipad.  I use a Mac for computer, so not loyal to one or the other.  I started out with Android and that's what I'm accustomed to.  I'm also not fond of how Apple holds app developers hostage.

I love my IPad. I've had 2, one new and then bought a refurbished that was like new. It's time to update as mine runs slow and I plan to buy another IPad. I have an IPhone and Mac computer and really like that they all sync with photos, messages and documents.

Re: For those who have tablets...

@newjersey, I have had Apple iPads, Samsung tablets, Fire tablets, and Asus tablets. I prefer the iPads. I have had  a mini, classic, Air, and Pro at different times. Right now I have 2 Airs, Gen 5 and Gen 6. You might be able to get a classic iPad Gen 10 during Prime days for a decent price.  The one nice thing is that trade in value is better for Apple products than for others. You can check trade in value at Apple and Best Buy. This can be done on online, also. I have found that iPads run smoother and are just easier to use. I would suggest checking all of them in person. They should have demo models at Best Buy, Wamart, Target, & Staples. Of course price is a big deal. I know that Best Buy will price match Amazon & Walmart, not sure of the others. Doesn't hurt to ask. Definitely check prices, storage, and how new/old it is.

Interesting. I've not had a problem with any of the free 3rd party apps like Sudoku, Jumble, or Mahjong on the almost 10 year old Fire tablet. But, time will tell. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: For those who have tablets...

I have a Samsung S7+, S9 and S9 +. I use my tablets like a laptop replacement.

I received a nice tablet trade-in promo when I brought the S9 direct from Samsung's website.

I would suggest a iPad 10 generation 256GB tablet. This tablet maybe on sale on Prime Day.
