They will probably have a patch out within a week at the most for IE. Windows XP though is ancient history...no more repairs or updates being released for that.

Anyone using internet explorer right now should stop! When a fix is released, of course those with Microsoft XP will not receive a fix because that OS is no longer supported. The OP is talking about XP. There is NO fix for XP because there is NO Windows update for XP. For the other Windows system, yes.....for XP, no.

I don't think there is a fix yet. I just checked Microsoft's support site and they state they are working on a fix. That was last updated 4/28 but if they had a fix I think they would be shouting it from the rooftops and definitely would update the link from their own page.
Please don't use IE until the fix is offered and you install it on your PC.

If a patch for the vulnerability is quickly developed, it may be pushed out as an out-of-band Critical Update via Microsoft Updates. If a patch isn't developed that soon, then it may be released along with other updates on Patch Tuesday, which is the second Tuesday of each month.

what if you have a later version like Vista and your PC gets regular updates, should you just let it be? What do you all think of Firefox??
