For Those Happy With Windows 8

I installed Windows 8 to my HP Desktop on Oct. 26 and the whole process went smoothly. I did elect to choose to keep my original files, so, my previous desktop remains intact. Nice! When the 2 hour process finished, I was very pleased with the results. I like the colorful tiles and how certain ones will revolve with the latest information, for instance, the Weather Tile and Email Tile. I selected a Clock Tile from the MicroSoft Store that every minute updates me with the correct time and it was free! Of course, Windows 8 is spanking brand new, and I do expect bugs to be worked out along with updates forthcoming. So far, I'm very happy that I took the plunge. I can access USA Today, my Email, my Contacts, my Calendar, etc. by simply clicking on the Tiles.

The MicroSoft Store does need to get more applications. It's a given that many more will be forthcoming.

The Windows Defender has been improved and it is a more powerful tool in the fight against viruses and malware.
