Flash Drive and Windows 8 Computer ?

My friend loaned me his flash drive stick that contains over 800 songs.

I plugged the flash drive into a USB port on my new Windows 8 laptop computer.

All the songs on the flash drive showed up on my computer. How do I save the songs on my new computer ?
