FInal Version of Windows 10 is now available

If you've been testing it the past year or so, the final version is available in the updates. It's the same version being released on July 29.

Re: FInal Version of Windows 10 is now available

I've seen a few images of Windows 10 and I've reserved my copy. It looks intriguing and I absolutely HATE the schizophrenic 8.1.

If I don't like Windows 10 I'm going to install Classic Shell - if they have a Win10 version.

Re: FInal Version of Windows 10 is now available

I downloaded this newest version of Windows 10 through Windows Update and it installed without a hitch. My ancient laptop (circa 2007) runs like a brand new machine. I cant get over how fast the new Edge browser is! Even image intensive sites like Amazon, load immediately. For anyone afraid of Windows 8.1, you can set 10 up so you never have to see the app tiles if you don't want to use them. I personally like the tiles but then I like 8.1 on my primary computer. If I was running Windows 7, I would grab this version in a heartbeat while it is free to upgrade.

Yeah, that's what I want to hear! :-)

I still also have a laptop running Vista from 2007. Maybe I'll test it out on that one first before upgrading my 8.1 laptop. Thanks Ariane!
