As I mentioned earlier my default is google. But it always goes to DDG when I open a new tab to search for something.

I found out what I need to have google as my default search engine! I had to disable the DDG option in the google settings search engine section. Problem solved.

Have used DDG for several years now,as my default search engine on my computers...very pleased!
