I was really enjoying using Sierra OS but when I tried to open a few saved documents I discovered that they are not there! The titles show up with the date and size of the file, but I cannot open them. YIKESSSSSSSSS
If anyone has a suggestion I would be appreciative of your help. Does Apple even support this product? It was preinstalled on my Mac Book when I purchased it 7 yrs ago.

I've had a few problems with Sierra, too, but my Pages documents are still there. Apple has a Community Forums section. You might want to post over there. https://discussions.apple.com/welcome

I updated and all of my documents went into the iCloud storage which I don't want. I went into my iCloud settings and put them back on the hard drive. I made a copy on an external hard drive before I proceeded.

Post in Apple's Pages for Mac community. The experts over there will be more than happy to help you.
I have never used iCloud. All of my Pages documents are still where they are suppose to be & I can open each & every one. I also have a "backup" system.

I've only used Numbers since I installed Sierra. BTW, Pages is an Apple product, as is Numbers and Keynote. I did randomly open some of my Pages documents since reading this thread and my stuff has all been fine. Mine are in icloud, which I'm fine with and I have Time Machine turned on.

I installed Sierra last week. My documents appear in the iCloud, on my hard drive and on my backup external hard drive. I know I can access the documents by either clicking on the iCloud icon OR the regular documents link. I'm not sure what happened with you. The Apple Support groups on their website might be able to help.
