My laptop came with Win 10 and this has been happening once a week. The only way I can have access is to hold and press the power button which restarts it. Nothing else unfreezes it, not even unplugging it.
How have you resolved this?

I should add that I have googled this and put in place one particular recommendation that sounded like it would work, but it hasn't. My laptop froze again a week later.

I have an Asus ROG that got great reviews so don't know what to make of it. My older laptop was originally 8.1 with windows 10 layered on top of it and it never froze up (it was an HP). Not happy at all about this. Do you think a fix will eventually come out by Microsoft? @Marp

An update is now ready @Marp It's KB3206632 for version 14393.576

What are the specs? Too many computers don't have enough RAM. There are several reasons for a computer to freeze.
1. Too many programs in the startup group using resources and bogging down the computer.
2. Not enough RAM and too many programs running at the same time.
3. Not enough RAM and your antivirus program runs a scan.
What are you doing when it happens?

I have a new HP with Windows 10 (about 2 months now) and I have not had that problem.
Hope you find a solution!!

I would take this computer to a local tech shop, let him/her dx the problem. and suggest a fix.
