Always!! I hate the touchpads so that is one of the first things to go! Next I usually get an illuminated keyboard because I don't like the flat keys on the laptop.

I haven't used a mouse in a decade. The trackpad on my Macbook works flawlessly and easily.

I have an Apple laptop. I bought a mouse (not apple) for it. It's just easier for me than using the mouse pad.

Whatever makes you comfortable is what counts.

I'm a mouse user, too. Can't get the hang of the pad on my laptop.

My husband hates my mouse, it's one of those vertical ergonomic designs. My RA settles in my hands and my right hand will end up in cramps and spasms so my laptop and desktop both have the same mouse attached - it alleviates the issue. I often work on excel and using that touchpad is difficult for me.

I always forget that my laptop is touch screen!

@Marp My cat does not bother with the touchpad but loves to scroll on the touch screen and watch all the pictures fly by!

I've never actually used a mouse and during the odd time I need to use someone else's laptop that uses a mouse, I'm completely thrown off. I've never had a desk top computer so that's probably why. Touchpad all the way.

@Xivambala @Marp Cats and computers together can be a dangerous mix! While working at home last year, one of my cats RAN fast across my keboard and hit one or more of the F keys and my entire screen went solid blue!! I had to call out company IT people to figure out how to restore everything. Fortunately they knew what to do. A different cat bites the corner of my laptop, too. There are bite marks on it....that look like bite marks. Love cats at work, though! Biggest perk of working from home.

I had to use this key pad on my laptop for a while when my mouse was broken -- it was a nightmare. I don't know how people use that constantly. It definitely slowed me down.
