I just purchased a new laptop after not having one for about ten years. I love my desktop but want to use the laptop on the porch.
Question: do you use a mouse with your laptop?
Many thanks.
Edited to add:
Looks like the mouse users win! I will get a mouse at some point but in just a couple days of using my laptop, I am doing so much better. Think I want to learn both ways.
Thanks for all the great replies....so helpful! ![]()

@Regal Bee Absolutely. I'd be unable to use my laptop without it. Once in a great while I use the finger pad (that's what I call it) but for me it's too awkward.

I greatly prefer using a mouse with laptops. However, if I am sitting someplace without a flat surface to my right it is not an option. In that case a touch screen is a help as it is another way to navigate. But I am always much faster with a mouse.

Yes. I just can't get the hang of using that built in mouse. Easier for me to use the mouse.

Yes, I use a wireless mouse rather than the touch pad. I find it easier, quicker and I have better control.

I'm from the 'old school' - and thought I'd never be able to run a laptop/computer without a mouse ! My new laptop didn't come with a mouse - but it took a very short time to learn how to maneuver it without a mouse...don't' miss the mouse now !
