Watching Sandra on QVC 2 and seeing E-329492 Victor State Music center and I see this one is more updated but it reminded me that I still have a record player very much like this one. Wood cabinet, plays 45 and 78 records for which I have many many of them ! Old memories came back and I just might have to get out my record player tomorrow and get it going again !!
If you have that old record player do you use it from time to time ? ![]()

Funny you should ask. My MIL passed away recently and she still has my husbands stereo from the late 60's. It's a Panasonic. Plus ALL of his albums. He has a Beatles White Album, some DC5, plus who knows who else. Our daughter is getting it. I told her there might be some collector albums in the stack like the White Album.

Yes, I have a stereo with a radio, record player and an 8 track player all in one. It is built in to my dining room dry sink. It is all behind closed doors.
Once in a while, I pop in "The Best of Bread" or play a record for old times sake.

Yes! and over 450 LPs
Recently I've bought some 60s Christmas complications from Goodwill.

@Mary Bailey, would those happen to be the Firestone LPs? I love those. I enjoy the variety of the performers.

@Goodie2shoes, I have two. One in the living room and one in a spare bedroom, which is more an entertainment and exercise room.
I occasionally play old Broadway albums and play Christmas albums around the holidays.
I should add, that's the room I do gift wrapping, send Christmas cards, and put up a small tree.

Anyone remember the old record stores where you could go in and all they sold were 45's and LP's ? Gosh darn seeing that QVC segment for that record player brought back many memories. You really have a lot of LP's Mary !! I don't have quite that many but I have at least 50 or 60 and probably about 75 45's. I also have a record player with the 2 floor speakers and a boom box with the built in speakers. I just have to get that thing out tomorrow and play a little of that good old music

We haven't had one since cd players first became available--a long long time ago. We were so happy with the sound and the lack of scratches and pops. We've never longed for a record player since.
Our first VCR had a remote control that had a cable connecting it to the unit! It was a huge decision--VCR or Beta!
Now that's a long long time ago!!!!

yes, I have my mother in laws 1950's one. Works. It is just so weird listening to mono vinyl records. And you have to blast volume. But it works. Dozens of needles with it too
