Do I Need Adobe ReaderXl

I'm not tech savvy and need to know if I should download this. I have Adobe Reader 9 and keep getting a pop up when I get on my computer to get the new Adobe Reader Xl. Do I really need this? I'm ashamed to say I don't even understand what it is. If anyone can advise me I'd appreciate it.
