Desktop Computer Recommendation for Kids????

I have a computer question for those in the know--I want to get a desktop computer for the girls. I have no idea what I should look for in terms of gigabytes and all that stuff. I do know that it needs to be wirelss and cheap (no more than $300). We don't want them using our new computer that I know nothing about. Any suggestions? This stuff is over my head and beyond. Seriously. We already have an iPad and Nook; there are certain educational websites (i.e., ABCMouse.com) that don't work on tablets. Thanks for any help!
