Dell support

I need some advise.... I have a Dell Studio laptop that was the TSV back in June 2010... all of a sudden the computer will not let me log in with name. I called Dell and told them this computer was fairly new and was having problems with log in...

Now initially the computer came with a 2year warranty, now this agent tells me I have to purchase software warranty? Seriously! after I finished paying this 1000 dollar computer and I still have to purchase this other warranty or else they WILL not help me... {#emotions_dlg.mad}

Any advise???
