Daughter needs help buying Computer

Help! Annabelle here. My youngest daughter wants to purchase a computer. She doesn't have 7 or 800$ to spend. She was asking me about the Dell Computer that was just on. I know zip but I told her that I didn't think you ladies liked the Dell Computers. What would be a good buy on QVC or HSN for her in a 17" computer? I'm loosing power on my IPAD2 soon, so please help. I told her I'd call her with what you ladies say. I send her QVC stuff, but she's never bought something on her own. I brag about you ladies all of the time. Don't let me down. SMILE (me smiling)
