Contract or No Contract???...Cell Phones

Our contract with Sprint runs out next month so I'm trying to get a wealth of knowledge before I decide if I want to renew or not. The phone on HSN today looks really nice but I checked and T Mobile isn't in our area. We need two phones but my hubby just needs one for like when I call and maybe a few texts. Me on the other hand have my own business so I need the internet now along with unlimited calls, text, msg and data. Please guide me in the right direction before I mess up and end up with a big bill that I don't want to pay. Thanks!!
