I've seen a couple of posts saying that some folks bought the recent Kindle TSV because it could be connected to a HDTV and the iPad could not.
This is not true.
The sales rep who demonstrated the Kindle did say that the iPad could not be connected, but he was incorrect. There are two ways the iPad can be connected to a television that has a HDMI port:
1. Using the Digital AV Adapter from Apple - $49. This will tether your iPad to the TV.
2. Apple TV -- $99. Will allow you to wirelessly connect your iPad/iPhone/iPod to your TV. For $40 more you can have wireless connection.
