Comcast has converted to all digital in my area. This means that I have to have a cable box (never did before--just co-ax connection).
My problem is that I can't seem to connect my VCR (I know--I'm stuck in the 90's
) but it WAS working for me). to this system in any way. I have tried a splitter, different ways of connecting them together, etc. I am very electronically challenged
)
All I want to be able to is:
1--Record one show while watching another. (Could before)
2--Do timer recordings when I'm away. (Could before)
3--NOT have to pay an extra monthly fee to the cable co. or Tivo or anything like that.
Could someone tell me what my options are? I can't go with a dish system because of some kind of interference in my area. (Neighbors that have tried it had to change--close to hospital--helicopters, etc.)
I need to keep it as inexpensive as possible. It seems like this "improvement" is worse for me. If I got a VCR/DVD combo with a tuner, would that do it?
Thanks so much!!
